OUR MISSION

American Huey 369 Organization with some 25,400 plus members and growing, was formed in 2006 for the specific purpose of Preservation, Education and Paying Tribute to ALL Veterans and Patriots. Together with a Temporary Museum / Hanger, (4) restored Vietnam Veteran Hueys and (1) Bell 47 TH-13 helicopter that all fly and with the continued construction of "The National American Huey History Museum" (a 34,000 square foot facility), our members will continue to educate ALL generations to the history of the American made Icon "The Huey"!

We are currently fund raising to meet our FINAL third phase goal to build this one of a kind National Museum. The goals were met for the first and second phases in 2015 and 2017 respectively, the building package was ordered in February 2021, the "OFFICIAL GROUNDBREAKING" for the New Museum took place on August 14th, 2021, the Museum building package was delivered in October 2021, foundation concrete work was completed in January 2022 and the erecting of the steel structure began March 10th, 2022. The masonry block and steel construction of the control tower was completed in mid 2023 and as of January 2024 the installation of the five story elevator, interior walls, electrical wiring, exterior olive green insulated metal panels and tinted green tower windows are nearing completion.

The history of the Huey Helicopter spans over 60 years, beginning in Vietnam with the Vietnam Veteran and will continue for generations to come as new UH1 Hueys are still being built today by Bell Helicopter in Amarillo, Texas.

While accomplishing this mission our members pay Honor and Tribute to ALL Veterans (especially Vietnam Veterans), ALL Patriots who didn't serve but support their troops and we will NEVER FORGET our Veterans who gave the ultimate sacrifice for their country or the sacrifices of their Gold Star Families!

Our organization, with it's mission, provides all Veterans / Patriots the opportunity to become members (active or inactive) in the preservation of these Icon Hueys.
